How to turn a PDF into a flipbook in about a minute

A step-by-step guide to making a page-turning flipbook from a PDF in your browser, with no software to install and no Word or PowerPoint needed.

You have a PDF. You want people to page through it on any device, and you want one link to send. This takes about a minute and needs nothing installed.

Before you start

You need a PDF and an email address. That is all: FlipbookIQ signs you in with a six-digit code sent to your email, so there is no password to invent.

If your document is a Word file or a PowerPoint deck, you can export it as a PDF first, or use the free add-in and make the flipbook straight from the document.

Step by step

  1. Open the Studio. Go to app.flipbookiq.com and enter your email. Type the code we send you.
  2. Choose your PDF. Drop it into the Studio. Your browser turns each page into an image on your own computer. The PDF itself is never uploaded.
  3. Look it over. Flip through the pages in the editor. If a page is wrong, fix the document and choose it again; if you only need to take one page out, you can do that on a paid plan.
  4. Publish. One button puts the finished page images online and gives you a link.
  5. Share it. Copy the link, print the QR code, or paste the embed code into your website.

What you get

  • A real page turn, on a phone or a computer.
  • A link that does not change when you publish again.
  • A QR code you can print.
  • A searchable PDF and an offline copy for readers who want a file.

Three things worth doing next

Give it a good title. The title shows in the browser tab and in link previews. A file name like Final_v3_REAL.pdf is not a title.

Run the check. The Check tool in the Studio looks for placeholder text, dates that have passed, prices that disagree, and links that no longer work, before anyone else sees it. Read what it looks for.

Try your phone. Open the link on your own phone before you send it. It is the screen most of your readers will use.

What the free plan allows

The free plan keeps one flipbook online at a time, up to 20 pages, for 14 days, with a small "Made with FlipbookIQ" mark. Making flipbooks is unlimited. If you need it to stay up, see the plans.
