Price lists that are always right: one link, no old PDFs
An emailed price list is wrong the moment a price changes. Publish it as a flipbook so there is one version, and let buyers sort and filter the table.
Every business with a price list has met the same problem. A price changes. The new list goes to some people, not others. A month later someone orders from a PDF that is out of date, and you either honor it or argue.
The fix is to stop sending the list and start sending a link.
One version, always current
Publish the price list as a flipbook and share the link. When a price changes, update the flipbook and publish a new version. The link stays the same, so everyone who has it sees the new prices. People with it open are offered the update.
There is nothing to resend, and no old copy that is still correct somewhere.
Start from the spreadsheet you already keep
Most price lists begin as a spreadsheet. In the Studio, choose New flipbook, then From a spreadsheet. Pick the sheet and the range, and the file is read in your own browser. It is not uploaded. Formatting comes across: fonts, colors, borders and number formats.
Before anything is published, a check looks for sensitive data. A price list rarely has any, but a cost column or a margin column is exactly the kind of thing that ends up in a file by accident. Hidden sheets, hidden rows and hidden columns are skipped, and formulas are never read, only what each cell displays.
Let buyers use the table
On the paid plans you can tick Readers can sort, filter and search this table for a page. Buyers press Explore this table and can sort by price, filter to one category, or type a product name. They can type a filter such as >50 on a number column, and, if you allow it, download the result as a CSV file.
The page itself is still an ordinary picture, so it prints, searches and sits in the PDF.
Print a QR code that stays right
If you also print the list, put a QR code on it. It points at the flipbook's link, so the paper copy opens the current prices. The share window gives you one for the whole flipbook, or for a single page.
Habits worth keeping
- Date the list. "Effective January 2027" on the first page shows buyers it is current.
- Keep terms on their own page. Payment, shipping and returns are easier to find, and to update, there.
- Use Check before you share. It finds placeholder text, dates that have passed and the same price shown two different ways.
What it costs
On the free plan one flipbook is online at a time, for fourteen days. A price list that has to stay current is a paid-plan job: flipbooks stay online until you remove them, and the interactive table is included.
