Put a QR code on every page of your printed catalog

Print a unique QR code for each page so a printed catalog links to the live page, with current prices and details. How Print Bridge works.

Print is not dead in catalogs, manuals and brochures. People still like paper, and paper has one fatal flaw: it cannot change. The price on page 22 is right on the day it is printed and wrong a few months later.

The fix is not to stop printing. It is to give each printed page a way back to the living version.

What Print Bridge does

For any flipbook, FlipbookIQ can make a printable sheet with one QR code per page. Each code opens your flipbook on that exact page, using a link that ends in the page number. Someone holding page 22 of the printed catalog scans the code and lands on page 22 of the live flipbook, whatever it says today.

How to use it

  1. Open the flipbook in the Studio.
  2. Choose Access in the left rail.
  3. Under the QR code, press Print a QR code for every page.
  4. A new window shows the sheet. Print it, or save it as a PDF.
  5. Cut the codes out, or hand the sheet to your printer, and place one on the matching page.

A sheet holds up to 200 pages. If you use your own domain, the codes carry your address.

Why one code per page beats one code per catalog

A single code on the cover sends the reader to the front of the book, and they have to find their way back to the page they were looking at. A code on each page sends them straight there. It turns a printed page into a way to:

  • See the current price and details, after you have republished.
  • Read the page on a screen with zoom, search and the rest of the flipbook around it.
  • Ask the flipbook a question, if you have switched that on.
  • Report a page that is wrong, if you have switched on reader feedback.

It does not track anyone

The code is just a web address with a page number on the end. It carries nothing about the person who scans it, and you learn nothing about them from it. If you want to know which pages are read, you can switch on anonymous page attention, which only ever shows totals.

Tips for the printed side

  • Leave a clear margin around each code, and print it at least 2 cm across so phones read it from a distance.
  • Add a few words next to it, such as "Scan for the latest version", so people know why it is there.
  • Test one code on a phone before you print a thousand copies.

See the plans that include editing and your own domain, or open the Studio and try it on a document you already have.
